The event obtained three-star certification, offset its emissions, and continues to expand its social actions.

Increasingly committed to ESG issues, the F1 São Paulo GP celebrates achieving the maximum level of environmental recognition from the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). The event obtained the three-star certification, the so-called 3-Star of the FIA Environmental Accreditation Programme.

The third star was granted by the world motorsport governing body in November of last year. And it confirms the evolution of the work and results of the GP in the environmental management system related to the execution of the event. Previously, the GP had the 2-Star level certificate. Upon entering the program in 2023, it displayed the 1-Star level.

The FIA Environmental Accreditation Programme supports motorsport organizations in assessing and continuously improving their environmental performance, considering aspects such as energy and emissions management, responsible use of resources, waste management, practices applicable to the supply chain, definition of responsibilities, and monitoring of results.

“The São Paulo GP seeks to be connected with the interests of society. We want to be disseminating agents of the culture of environmental preservation and of care and respect for people. Therefore, we are happy with the FIA’s recognition of the work we are doing to mitigate the impact of our operations, such as the correct disposal and reuse of generated solid waste and the pursuit of energy efficiency. Regarding care for people, we highlight the positions expressed in our policies, which emphasize respect for diversity and the fight against harassment and abusive or offensive behavior,” states Alan Adler, CEO of the São Paulo GP.

The stage of the GP, the Interlagos circuit also achieved the 3-Star level in 2025, after undergoing its own independent evaluation process. The achievement was obtained with the help of the São Paulo GP through the Sustainable Social Circuit Program (Programa Autódromo Social Sustentável), which supports improvements in the permanent infrastructure of the circuit, including the implementation of a Sorting Center and a photovoltaic plant, in addition to landscaping interventions and other works.

The event’s sustainability management is also aligned with the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the environmental commitments established by the Formula One Group.

In the last year, the São Paulo GP also advanced in offsetting emissions. For the fifth consecutive year, the event offset 100% of its emissions by acquiring 3,491 carbon credits (CERs), covering the 3,300 tons of CO₂ from the direct operation and the 191 tons related to an audience displacement activation.

To reach such a number, the GP expanded its renewable energy matrix at the circuit. The photovoltaic installations of Grandstand B operated continuously throughout the year. The operation generated 127,394 kWh, resulting in savings of approximately R$ 65,000. At the same time, the event used 10,000 liters of national biodiesel in generators. The initiative of having a fleet composed of three electric vehicles, 67 electric motorcycles, and 44 electric golf carts also contributed.

SOCIAL ACTIONS The São Paulo GP also reinforces its social commitment every year. Among various social responsibility actions, the GP expanded its work in partnership with the Escola do Mecânico (Mechanic’s School) by training 350 women in automotive mechanics, promoting female inclusion in the sector. For this year, this number will rise to 400 women.

The event also carried out the Food Donation operation once again, which prevented waste by donating 13.2 tons of surplus food from kitchens and restaurants, equivalent to 32,000 meals for social institutions.

GOVERNANCE In the scope of governance, there is the expansion of its management model, always based on principles such as transparency, clarity of roles, and stability. The São Paulo GP has policies that communicate these values and principles to all employees and suppliers. Among them are the Code of Conduct, the Third-Party Code of Conduct, and the Third-Party Relationship Policy.

In common, all these policies emphasize not only compliance with the law but also the effort to operate with the highest levels of ethics, integrity, and corporate social responsibility. The documents also highlight respect for diversity, the fight against harassment and abusive or offensive behavior, and prohibit any forms of discrimination, harassment, intimidation, threats, humiliation, or abuse of employees.

Based on these principles, the São Paulo GP has a specific whistleblowing channel for the event, in addition to having an internal communication channel for submitting reports, ensuring total confidentiality of the information.

The Board of Directors is the body responsible for establishing the above guidelines and monitoring their implementation by the Executive Board.
