FORMULA 1 LENOVO SÃO PAULO GRAND PRIX 2024 INTERNATIONAL AUTOMOBILE FEDERATION FORMULA 1 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

The São Paulo Formula 1 Grand Prix Press Accreditation Center informs national print media and websites specialized in motorsport news interested in applying for coverage of the Formula 1 Lenovo São Paulo Grand Prix 2024 at the Interlagos Circuit that accreditation requests will be accepted from August 12 to September 20, 2024. The event will take place on November 1, 2, and 3, 2024. Media outlets must necessarily meet the criteria outlined in this document.

PRINT MEDIA

Requests must include the following documentation:

1. A letter on the company’s letterhead requesting accreditation containing:
– Name and position of the professionals designated for coverage, including the email, landline, and mobile phone numbers of each;
– Designation of the responsible person within the company to handle accreditation matters, including email, landline, and mobile phone numbers;
– Information about the publication (including circulation, segment, and frequency);
– Signature of the company’s director or the vehicle’s editor, with email and contact phone number.

 

2. Proof that the publication meets the following minimum paid circulation:
– Daily publications: minimum of 50,000 copies per edition;
– Weekly, biweekly, and monthly publications: minimum of 20,000 copies per edition.

3. Headshot photos of the applicants in 3×4 format, digitized and saved as jpg format, identified as follows: Vehicle_Name_Applicant_Name_Photo.jpg.

4. Copies of the applicants’ press credentials, digitized and saved in jpg format, identified as follows: Vehicle_Name_Applicant_Name_Credential.jpg.

5. News agencies must attach to their requests a list of the companies that contract their services, detailing the circulation of each publication individually.

6. Attach PDF files of journalistic material about Formula 1 published in the last 12 months, including coverage of the Formula 1 Rolex São Paulo Grand Prix 2023.

Media outlets meeting these criteria should send their requests and the mentioned files via email to [email protected] with the vehicle’s name in the “subject” field.

 

NOTES:

1. Media outlets must be committed to covering the Formula 1 World Championship. For example, daily outlets should provide an introductory article on Thursday, coverage on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during the event, and a report on the Monday after the event. For specialized weekly, biweekly, or monthly publications, extensive coverage of each race is desirable. Publications or agencies applying for photographer credentials must provide proof of publishing at least 15 photos per credential issued in the previous year.

2. Media outlets holding permanent credentials should submit their request for additional credentials directly to the FIA.

3. Media outlets requesting accreditation for the first time must also send printed samples to an address to be provided during the accreditation request process.

WEBSITES

Only websites dedicated to motorsport news or with a section focused on motorsport can apply for accreditation to cover the São Paulo Formula 1 Grand Prix.

The website must cover the entire Formula 1 World Championship, with at least one news article per day from the Thursday before to the Monday after each race (a minimum of 250 words each), and one feature article per event (a minimum of 500 words). The content must not be restricted to subscribers.

The accredited journalist must be fully dedicated to covering Formula 1 and must be associated with the site as a full-time or majority-time journalist dedicated to covering the Formula 1 World Championship. No guarantees for photographer credentials will be provided.

The website must maintain a clearly visible contact section with a link on the homepage, including information on how to communicate with the site, such as a mailing address (P.O. boxes will not be accepted), phone number, and email address. The names of all contributing journalists must be listed in the articles or elsewhere on the website.

All photos published in articles must include proper credit to the photographers, and all sources must be cited according to best practices for respecting copyright.

The website must have its own Privacy Policy, a right-to-reply policy, and comply with all laws and regulations regarding website operations. Websites meeting these criteria should send their requests and files mentioned in this document via email to [email protected] with the vehicle’s name in the “subject” field.

– The name and role of the professional designated for coverage, including email, landline, and mobile phone numbers;
– The name of the responsible person within the company to handle accreditation matters, including email, landline, and mobile phone numbers;
– Signature of the company’s director or the vehicle’s editor, with email and contact phone number.
– A headshot photo of the applicant in 3×4 format, digitized and saved as jpg format, identified as follows: Vehicle_Name_Applicant_Name_Photo.jpg.

2. A copy of the applicant’s press credential, digitized and saved as jpg format, identified as follows: Vehicle_Name_Applicant_Name_Credential.jpg.

3. A traffic report showing unique visitors and access by region for the past three years of the site, issued by a competent entity recognized by the São Paulo Formula 1 GP organization (e.g., Ibope or Google Analytics). If the site is not dedicated to Formula 1, only the traffic for the Formula 1 section must be provided.

4. Attach PDF files of journalistic material about Formula 1 published in the last 12 months, including coverage of the Formula 1 Rolex São Paulo Grand Prix 2023. Only news related to coverage of Formula 1 GPs will be considered. Other news and articles about the category or drivers will not be counted.

TV AND RADIO

Only TV and radio broadcasters holding the rights to broadcast the Formula 1 World Championship will have access to the Interlagos Circuit during the São Paulo Formula 1 Grand Prix to broadcast the race.

 

GENERAL REMARKS

1. Requests submitted in accordance with the above will be analyzed. Media outlets whose accreditation is approved by the FIA will be informed by the beginning of the event week, which takes place on November 1, 2, and 3, 2024, at the Interlagos Circuit in São Paulo. Requests submitted after the deadline, as well as incomplete requests or those that do not meet the above criteria, will not be analyzed and, consequently, will not be forwarded to the FIA.

2. The São Paulo Formula 1 Grand Prix Accreditation Center may request additional documentation from applicants during the evaluation process, which must be submitted via email or postal mail.

3. Please note that the request does not guarantee accreditation for event coverage at the Interlagos Circuit.

ATTENTION

All accredited individuals must respect the copyright of FOWC (Formula One World Championship), the FIA, and third parties. This includes the strict prohibition of recording any moving images, recording sounds, using trademarks, titles, logos, or broadcasting results, as specified in the accreditation agreement. If any accredited individual is seen recording any kind of moving image at the circuit, their credential will be confiscated, and future accreditation requests to the FIA will be jeopardized.

Only photographers accredited for this function will be allowed to take (static) images at the Interlagos Circuit during the São Paulo Formula 1 Grand Prix.

Non-accredited photographers are reminded that it is not permitted to enter the circuit’s public areas to take images.

TERMS OF RESPONSIBILITY

The directors/editors of media outlets with approved accreditation and the accredited journalists and photographers must sign the terms of responsibility that will be attached to the confirmations sent to the national press. Credentials can only be picked up in person upon presentation of the signed term and an identification document.
